Managing greenspace – expressions of interest for managing open space

Llanyblodwel Parish Council plans to take ownership and management of three areas of open space from Shropshire Council in April 2018 (see maps below).  The Parish Council is currently looking at costs to maintain this land and we are seeking expressions of interest and indicative costs for a grounds maintenance contact to be let early spring 2018.

Please confirm whether you want to be invited to quote for this work.

The contract is expected to be as follows:

Bryn Melin and Dolgoch play areas:

  • Cut grass to 20mm during normal growing period
  • Strim around play equipment
  • Trim hedges where appropriate
  • Remove cuttings

Porthywaen Playing field

  • Mow field
  • Trim hedges around playing field

To help us assess the viability of undertaking this work, please could you provide an indicative cost for undertaking the proposed work based on 6 cuts a year AND 18 cuts a year.   This will not be binding.

Elections 2017

Parish Council Elections 

Nine candidates stood for the nine seats on the Parsh Council.  They are all therefore elected unopposed.  The list of members is on the members page of the website.

Shropshire Council Elections – Thursday 4th May

Following the resignation of Cllr Arthur Warpole as Councillor for Llanymynech Ward which covers , there will be an election for the seat on Shropshire Council.
